about
Diz que vai – 'They say it will be…' – Elisete's new single is a sweet-sour song about the grim inner struggle between hope and despair. The picture is melancholic and a bit sad but has seeds of hope in it. Elisete wrote the song in Portuguese – her mother tongue – because this unique, inseparable combination of hope and despair, sorrow and happy music is in the heart of the Brazilian perception of the world.
Elisete is an observer – both of the world and her inner self – and she expresses her insights in songs. Elisete craves for, and believes in change. The quest is not for a magic cure but of a slow, gradual process of learning and enlightenment.
The song is acoustic-electronic and it reflects the style of the new album. The musical production was done by Raz Burg and Avi Levin that also took part in the recording of songs from Elisete's third acoustic album – 'My colors'.
Israeli-Brazilian singer Elisete performs around the world with her original songs at festivals and various events while acting as a dual cultural ambassador representing both Israel and Brazil.
Elisete's Multi-nationality, the seven languages she speaks and the excellent chemistry she has with her audience enables her to build a bridge to the hearts of audiences that are not naturally associated with Israel.
Lately Elisete started singing also in Russian and has earned a lot of appreciation in Russia for her interpretation of the songs of the Russian singer Zemfira.
In Israel Elisete performs with her variety of ensembles at various events and concerts.
Elisete released 4 albums so far: 3 acoustic - 'Luar e Cafe', 'Longing' and 'My Colors' and a remix album - 'Elisete - remixes'. The albums are distributed worldwide.
In the electronic music field Elisete is recently identified especially with the song 'Milion Stars' created in collaboration with the ensemble Epiphony and Offer Nissim.
Elisete is working on her new album that is in the last recording stages and will be released soon.
lyrics
Diz que vai
Nesse mundo o desalento tá demais
Precisamos pro espírito mais paz
É tanta gente que não presta com o poder
É tanta gente que não planta e quer colher
É tanta inveja, é tanto down, é tanto baixo-astral
Tanto Caim, e tanto Judas, tantos caras maus
E o carnaval vai destilando a minha dor
Acho consolo nos braços do meu amor
Tu diz que vai, diz que vai, diz que vai, diz que vai passar
Tu diz que vai, diz que vai, diz que vai, diz que vai melhorar
Oh meu amigo eu não sei mais o que pensar
Eu vou cantando e deixo a vida me levar
É o preconceito, é a ignorância, e o dissabor
E a violência, é a carência e o rancor
Chorus
Tu diz que vai, diz que vai, diz que vai, diz que vai passar
Tu diz que vai, diz que vai, diz que vai, diz que vai melhorar
Oh meu amigo eu não sei mais o que pensar
Eu vou cantando e deixo a vida me levar
